PM Benjamin Netanyahu
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has asked that Israeli citizens remain near protected areas in the coming days, promising that the Gaza operation will continue as long as it needs to.
Speaking to the media Saturday night, Netanyahu said: "There is no operation more just and ethical than the operation which we are conducting now in Gaza. There is no country which would sit with its hands folded in face of the threat of death from missiles."
"The citizens of the Gaza border area are living in hell," he emphasized.
"I very much appreciate the support of [US] President [Joe] Biden and the US stance in support of Israel's right to defend itself."
"To the terrorist chiefs I say: You cannot hide; no one is immune. The building which you saw fall today in Gaza was used as a military intelligence center for Hamas. It's not an innocent building.
"The operation will continue as long as necessary."
Regarding the rioting in mixed Jewish-Arab cities, Netanyahu said: "There is only one definition for this: terror. Anyone who acts as a terrorist, will be dealt with as a terrorist."
Netanyahu also said that he has received support from 25 nations for the current offensive, with special thanks to the USA.
Earlier on Saturday, Netanyahu spoke with US President Joe Biden, who condemned the "indiscriminate attacks against towns and cities across Israel.
