The hucksters keep coming and the latest craze from the Democrats is a flim-flam man named Beto O'Rourke. He's got the snake-oil to fix our planet.
He's come not just to save America. He's coming to save EARTH. Says so himself; that climate change will be his cause.
Interesting how Liberals pick the one thing few of us can do anything about — except to make themselves feel righteous and the rest of us feel guilty. About everything! They are clever.
Finally, though, a guy gets into the picture.
But the con artists who figure to rue our days are still, Reps Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
So it was no surprise that when Omar was asked to define Donald Trump, she quipped that he's less than human.
Typical of the bad vibrations we've come to expect from that Somali ingrate. Mogadishu is in the House and we saw the squalor of it in the movie "Black Hawk Down."
So we let it slide, and shrugged again when Tlaib seconded that remark, because when you elect such types to infiltrate our government, this is what you get.
Of course we're insulted. The entire Democrat Party is an insult, and no one expressed it better, or worse, than the woman who's supposed to be in charge, Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, who dashed any talk of impeachment, which sounded statesmanlike, until she could not help herself — succumbing, as she did, to the mean-spiritedness that has come to characterize her Party.
This is the Party that can find no love for Jews, and will use Inquisition tactics to break, ruin, destroy anyone named alongside Trump — Manafort/Kavanaugh atop that index.
So she added that the impeachment process would divide the country, and Trump "is just not worth it."
"He's just not worth it," she said — words that should never be spoken one American to another.
"He's just not worth it," Pelosi said — with no thought to the office or to the 63 million Americans who voted for Trump.
Which means we are all "not worth it," and is she aware the demoralizing effect of such words upon the country and across the world?
You should be better than this — even if you are a Democrat.
We have all been cheapened and to wake up to such a message makes us all feel lousy.
Is there not a moment to consider that we are talking about the President of the United States? To demean him, demeans us all. We all walk belittled and downcast.
In the movie "MacArthur," it goes approximately like this from Truman when he prepares to meet the general, his adversary — "He can insult Harry Truman, but I'll be damned if I let him get away with insulting his Commander in Chief."
Don't worry, says Uzi my friend in Israel — it's just as bad for Netanyahu.
I know this. But it's no credit to either of us. The Israeli columnist Nahum Barnea equates Netanyahu to Trump and gives neither high points. (He prefers Benny Gantz for April 9.) He gives the edge to Netanyahu, but warns him not to get too charmed by Trump, nor follow in his ways. "Trump," he says, "is a blot on the landscape of American presidential history."
Marc Thiessen, writing for the New York Post, cites chapter and verse for all the ways Trump is the best we've had in years.
Others, I suppose, say likewise Netanyahu is a blot so far as Israel — but I am puzzled on what grounds, except for wild generalizations, Trump (like Bibi) gets to deserve such dishonor — beyond it being merely fashionable, merely stylish, merely instinctive, merely impulsive but always corrosive when the bad vibes travel into the atmosphere.
That is when the climate changes all right and we find Democrats going medieval — so long as they are not stopped.
Nothing stopped them for clubbing Paul Manafort like a baby seal. What did he do? This and that white-collar crime, but for four months he was associated with Trump, so they want him completely destroyed, dragging him from one courthouse to another, and as many the years he gets sentenced — they want more. In addition to the nine months the 70-year-old spent in solitary confinement.
It was never Manafort they wanted. It was always Trump — Manafort was his body-double, his stand-in.
They want the dungeons and gallows for anyone who thinks for himself. This means no one is safe. It's like that when an Inquisition gets loose.
